The Love of a Friend

Something has been weighing down on my heart lately. I have a really sweet friend, who I have known for quite some time. We have always loved doing things together; playing guitar, decorating her room, and other typicle girl stuff. She is a couple years younger than me, and I have always loved her like a little sister. But lately, she has been spending time with another group of friends. I am not saying that I oppose to her finding more friends her own age, it's just that, the friends that she has are not what I consider, appropriate Christian girls. They are Christians, but their behavior, and things that they like make me doubt..... Now my friend has been dressing like them, not talking to her best friend Laura, and hasn't even been talking to me. I feel like I lost my sweet friend. And even some people I have talked to tell me that she has gotten sort of rebelious. I look at her friends, and am amazed at how Satan can creep his way into Christians lives. Some "Christian" music, and such may seem harmless, but it is not right in the sight of God. I continue to pray for my friend, and that she will come back to the Lord.

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-- is not of the Father but is of the world." 1 John 2:15-16

Monday night fall

My scars from the wire wrapping around my waist.

On Monday evening the horses were trying to get out of the fence. (The boys turned off the fence because they were working on it.) I went over to the horses and yelled at them to get back in the fence, Lady and Dolly turned around and walked away from the fence, but Morning Star decided to run
straight through it! I was standing about 15 feet away from her when this happened. Suddenly, I heard the fence clips snap and the wire swing around me. All I remember after that was hitting my head when I landed in the corn field, 25 feet away from where I was standing. All I got were two scratches from where the wire had wrapped around me. God certainly had his protection on me. If the wire had caught me lower in the rib cage we would have been more concerned about internal bleeding. Right now, I am doing very good! Feel ready for anything again!
Thank you to everyone for your concern and prayer.

A day at the Janisch's

All of us: (L to R) Seth, Brandon, Leif, me, and Rebecca.

A day at Janisch's

This past Saturday we (Seth, Leif, and I) went over to our friends, the Janisch's house. We did a bunch of different things that day.... I brought along Tassy, so that Rebecca could help me train Tassy to do the obstacle course. Tassy was pretty excited to be with dogs her own size, so she had a hard time focusing on the course. After lunch, we all played a couple games of foosball, ping-pong, botchy ball, and volleyball. Our day was almost over, when we decided to take a nice eight mile bike ride. It was a lot of fun, we had hills practically all the way home. :) It was pretty hot that day, so, on the way home, Tassy sat in the back seat and hung her head out the car window all the way home. It looked like something out of a movie!

Update time!

Well, my life has once again gotten to be pretty crazy! Sooo, I thought I would give a quick review of what I have been up to these past two weeks.
For the past few weeks we have been helping some of our friend's youth group raise money for a trip they are going on, (we were invited to go to, but the date didn't work for us). We do odds and ends jobs, such as: weeding, gardening, cleaning up yards, raking ext. So that fills up our Monday's. The rest of the week is usually pretty quiet for me. Just a drawing class on Thursday. Other than that, I try to focus on my school. On occasion, Jonny, Ian, Seth, Leif and I go fishing. (Which is always a lot of fun!).
Two weeks ago we had a road side clean up for 4-H. As summer seems like it is getting closer and closer, days that are long get shorter and shorter.
Tomorrow I have a volleyball meet. That should be fun! We are going to have a new coach this year. Right now, I am still undecided about if I will be on the team. I keep on praying for God to give me a right decision. Sometimes I wish he would just say "Hannah, join the team!". But, as we all know it, he doesn't speak to us like that.
I'm sorry for not putting on any pictures. I hope to get some on real soon.
That 's pretty much it for now!
Oh, and we went to a super fun birthday party this weekend! It was a live Clue game!

Past weekend...

Well, this past weekend I went was going to go to Phillips, WI with our neighbor to go pick up a pony for her daughter's birthday.
It all started out perfect. We left at 8:00 in the morning, and about a mile from our house and a hundred yards from the Workshop, my neighbor's truck died on her. So, I called home, and dad came a towed us back to our house. At 9:00 am we were back on our way in my family's truck. Seth drove us to Phillips, WI (two hours away from Ashland). We had a little bit of trouble with the break thingy on the horse trailer. But with some electric wire, and we were set to go in a few minutes.
Everything else went just fine! We picked up the pony, he loaded wonderfully, and were back on our way home in half an hour.
The pony right now is settled in... And all the animals (the other horses, and cows) are starting to get along. :)
That's all for now!

Strep Throat.

Well, on Saturday I didn't feel good and started to get a fever. And as the fever went away I got a sore throat, and then the sore throat started to feel like strep throat. So yesterday mama took me to the walk in clinic to find out if I indeed had strep throat. We waited for the lab results to come back, and it came back that I did have strep throat. The doctor gave me some antibiotics, and told me a few things that I would have to do. Such as gargle salt water and that kind of stuff. So, I am sitting in bed right now with strep throat. I don't think it would have been so bad if I didn't have our 4-H Cultural Arts festival this weekend. In which I am in two plays, and am going to sing with my friend Riley. (Talk about using your voice). The doctor said it will be alright to do it as long as I rest my voice real well and don't run around a lot (you know, go to friends houses, shopping, taking the dog for long walks, babysitting. I mean I wouldn't do any of that anyway with strep throat, but..).
So, I guess I'll just have to see how it all turns out. I will most likely be putting some pictures from the cultural arts festival on here after this weekend.
That's all for today!

Sitting with strep throat,

Trusting in the Lord

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways remember Him. Then He will make your paths smooth and straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Sometimes I get all caught up in the world. "What's going to happen tomorrow?" all that kind of stuff. Then I have to realize that I have to put all my hopes and fears in the Lord's hands. I know, it can be tough sometimes, but He will take care of me no matter what happens tomorrow. And that gives me peace, because the Lord calms my heart.
