The Love of a Friend

Something has been weighing down on my heart lately. I have a really sweet friend, who I have known for quite some time. We have always loved doing things together; playing guitar, decorating her room, and other typicle girl stuff. She is a couple years younger than me, and I have always loved her like a little sister. But lately, she has been spending time with another group of friends. I am not saying that I oppose to her finding more friends her own age, it's just that, the friends that she has are not what I consider, appropriate Christian girls. They are Christians, but their behavior, and things that they like make me doubt..... Now my friend has been dressing like them, not talking to her best friend Laura, and hasn't even been talking to me. I feel like I lost my sweet friend. And even some people I have talked to tell me that she has gotten sort of rebelious. I look at her friends, and am amazed at how Satan can creep his way into Christians lives. Some "Christian" music, and such may seem harmless, but it is not right in the sight of God. I continue to pray for my friend, and that she will come back to the Lord.

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-- is not of the Father but is of the world." 1 John 2:15-16
